Isaac the Explorer

We knew when we got a puppy that we'd have to watch out for her chewing up our furniture. I never IMAGINED that I'd have to watch Isaac just the same! Apparently, our dining room chairs make a good teether. Hehe. He's SUCH a little monkey!

My Little Tiger...

While Isaac still tends to be quite a serious baby (he's a thinker), I can always get him to laugh. It's my most favorite sound in the world right now. This kid just makes my heart swell. He's awesome!

On the go...

Isaac is SUCH a busy body. Has to constantly be moving! While it's super cute...it's also super exhausting. :) He is starting to "cruise" along the furniture now...though is still a bit wobbly. Here's a couple pics of him watching Mona outside:

photography...

For those of you who didn't know, I have been getting HUGELY interested in photography. I've been learning a lot about how the camera works...what it takes to start a business...etc. As I have been sharing my photos of Isaac with people, I keep getting comments like, "Wow...you should become a professional photographer." It definitely feels nice to get such great feedback for my photos and has been a wonderful encouragement to me.

I have started buying stuff (backgrounds, props, etc)...as I have been daydreaming of doing this full-time in the somewhat near future. However, becoming so engrossed in this new hobby of mine, I have realized that it has taken away from my first and most important job: being a stay-at-home mom for my little guy!

So....while I am still going to keep snapping photos of him and practicing this hobby...I am going step off of the fast-track to starting a business for now. For the next 5-10 years, my job is to raise up our children, teaching them, playing with them, caring for them...full time. While I know some moms who can do that AND work full-time...I am not one of those people. I am not good at dividing my time. I get exhausted too easily...and when I get exhausted, I shut down. :)

With that all said, here is the latest batch of photos with some new props and a new background. I will be returning the teacup...as it was not cheap, and well...Isaac didn't really fit in it so well. Hehe. Anyway...here they are!

Update and pics...

Life is growing to be more and more interesting these days, as Isaac is becoming more and more mobile. He is getting faster and better at moving all around. You should see his eyes light up when he sees something he should NOT have (Mona's toys, our shoes, the remote, cell phones, you name it!). And boy does he move quickly to get it! :) To provide some extra entertainment for the little guy, I keep a full-length mirror laid sideways in our family room. Isaac enjoys talking to, hitting, and even kissing the handsome baby who keeps smiling at him! ;) Who am I kidding...the entertainment is for ME! I get a kick out of it...it's SO cute. Hehe.

And this morning, I decided that it would be fun to try on his winter hat. He sported it very well. Another thing that Isaac is really enjoying these days: WALKING. It is actually his favorite activity. Of course, being just 7 months old, he isn't walking on his own. But holding a finger in each hand...he can really move...and LOVES it.

With all of this moving around he's doing, Isaac's growth has really slowed down. At his 7-month appointment this week, we found out that he is only in the 50th percentile for weight and the 40th percentile for length. VERY weird to hear numbers like that...when we started out SO big (remember, consistently in the 95th). Our big guy isn't so big anymore.

Happy 7-month Birthday, little dude!!

So boys and flowers don't really go so well together. It was still fun, nonetheless. They work with Mona, though, eh?
