I wasn't sure how much he would enjoy his new ball pit, given that the suggested age is 3+ years. But he has a great time in it! Mona wishes she could join him, but it is off-limits to doggies. Sorry, chica.

Funny thing about this first one: I walked out of the room for a minute and came back to this. The toy on Isaac's back is Mona's. She must have put it there just to taunt him. I was laughing so hard at this situation! Oh...and the second to last one cracked me up too. What a goofball! And yes...that is a dog hair in his mouth!

Back home again in Indiana...

For those of you who are not Hoosiers...the title of this post is a well-known song here. :) Having been living away from Indiana for six years, I had forgotten one of my most favorite things of this place: the SUNSETS! In Cincy, with all the hills and the way our house faced (south), we rarely caught glimpses of the sun setting (or rising). Now our home is east-facing...and we're back to flat land. Here are some photos to show you what I'm talking about. The first three were taken on my drive home from vacation. The second to last one is looking out of our bedroom window at the sunrise. And the last is the view from our family room window at sunset. I LOVE these beautiful skies!! And I cannot help but praise God, who is such a masterful Creator!

Somebody's Teething...

So he has been teething for a few months now. But they have FINALLY popped through! YAY! Can you see 'em? There are two on the bottom!! And another fun thing he is doing..."saying" Ma-ma-ma-ma!! Hehe. It's fun to hear his little (and big) babbles. And yesterday, Kevin heard him clearly say, "mom" out of the blue! I would have LOVED to hear that! Oh well...I'm sure I'll hear more soon enough. Hehe.

a REAL photoshoot...

Thanks to Kelli, Shane, and Morgan for letting me use them as guinea pigs for some practice with my camera!! It was good to get an idea of what it's like taking photos of a nearly 2-year-old. (It's A LOT more difficult than shooting a baby who doesn't move too much!) I think we got some good shots, nonetheless...especially considering that I am still using a simple point-and-shoot camera. Nothing too fancy...yet! Just imagine the kind of shots I could be getting with a DSLR!! And hopefully that will be sooner than later! :)
