I snapped these photos yesterday. His outfit was cracking me up because at one point, I pulled his socks all the way up to his thighs. He was stylin! Hehe. He is getting into everything these days. My blanket-over-the-fireplace trick isn't working so well anymore. He has discovered that he can just pull it down and has a lot of fun doing it too! :) Anyway...here they are...

200 posts!!

Wow. I just realized that the last post of mine was the 200th post! That's a lot of bloggin! :) We've been SUPER busy around here. Earlier this week, Isaac and I headed up to spend time with Kevin's family. It was a nice change of pace. :) We got back yesterday afternoon, and we'll be leaving tomorrow to go visit friends in Bloomington for the weekend. It's been a LONG time since we've been back to b-town for a visit...so we're REALLY excited about this trip!! :)

Isaac is working on LOTS of teeth all at once right now. Three are breaking the surface and three more are close behind. His cute little toothless grin is going to be looking very different in the near future. :( I am surprised that he hasn't started taking steps on his own yet, as he's been standing for a long time now. He won't even let go of things and let himself balance. He has figured that he can crawl at super speeds, so who needs to learn how to walk?!? :) That development might be slowing down too, because he's been really focused on some other things. Like copying sounds that we make (bye-bye, da-da, hi, and panting like a dog). He is also slowly figuring out how to clap and wave. SO fun!! :) He is a little ball of energy these days and loves, loves, LOVES to make people laugh. He is seriously SUCH a goofball. It's so stinkin cute!

Anyway...here are some recent pics. The one with Mona licking his mouth just cracks me up. Mostly because it's hard to distinguish whose tongue it is!! (not really) Hehe. Oh...and the one we're he's looking directly at the camera...just take a wild guess as to what he's doing. :) Here they are...

Hehe. I am just LOVING this new camera. The images are so different from my old ones. I am still trying to get the hang of focusing correctly. But this is SO much fun!! :) Here are some from yesterday and today...

New pics with my NEW camera!!

So there's nothing fancy-schmancy about these photos (just simple snapshots). But I can TOTALLY tell a difference when shooting with it. The photos come out SO much sharper, with more blur in the background. It's AWESOME. :) I'm on cloud nine right about now. Woo hoo!! Now don't get me wrong, I still have A LOT to learn on this camera to get it to take pictures the way I'd like. But I just thought I'd share my first batch...starting with my very first photo EVER taken on my new machine!! :)

Isaac had a playdate...

The boys, who were born 2 days apart, got along really well. It was kind of like a monkey-see, monkey-do spectacle. SO cute!! And Isaac did something for the first time: ATE DIRT!! I saw the big gob of mud in his hand, and got it immediately. But he must have somehow already snuck one past me, as his mouth was literally FILLED with mud. He was just chewing along, like it was his lunch or something. GROSS!! I made him guzzle some water, but he really didn't seem to mind the taste of the dirt at all. UGH! BOYS!!!

9 months old today!!

Wow. It's hard to believe. Isaac is already NINE months old!! We had his 9-month checkup this morning and found out that he weighs in at 20lbs, 4oz and is 28.25 inches long...putting him in the 50th percentile for BOTH!! So he is RIGHT on for his height and weight and exactly average for both. Woo hoo!! :)

The other thing we discovered was that this little dude of ours has about SIX teeth trying to poke through all at ONCE! Yikes!! No wonder we've been having some rough nights lately. ;)

The doctor said that he looks GREAT. He is developing ahead of schedule when it comes to gross-motor things (like crawling, pulling up, walking, etc.)...no surprise there! And maybe in the next few months, he'll start waving and clapping. And right now, he can "give fives" upon request. He is a champion when it comes to feeding himself. His newest foods include turkey dogs, cheese, crackers, macaroni and cheese, and cheerios! He loves food, just like is mommy and daddy! And we *think* he's been saying, "Daddy" but it comes out sounding more like "eddy". :) Pretty cute.

Anyway...that's our 9-month update! I have ordered a new camera (and I am SO stoked about it). I will wait until that comes in to do his official 9-month photos. I'll be sure to post those as soon as I get them done!! :)

These are both from today. Life is never dull in the Ober household. And don't worry, Mona is used to Isaac's rough play. I keep a close eye on it, and if he gets TOO rough, I stop him. But how fun that he can get his groove on?!?

And I apologize in advance for my silly voice in this next one. But you know how that goes...anything to get the baby to laugh! ;) We were having so much fun during a diaper change, I asked Daddy to go grab the camera. Hehe.
