All About Sarah...

Our sweet baby girl is NINE months old!! How is this even possible?!? She is SUCH a blessing to our family. For the most part, she is quite a chill baby. She is army crawling around all over the place these days, and especially loves finding the dog dish filled with water! And speaking of water, of our three, she is most definitely our "water baby" child! This girl LOVES the water!! It makes giving her baths extra challenging, as she continually dunks her entire face in just for fun.

She spends most of her days playing quietly by herself. I put toys out on the floor for her, and she just moves around and plays with different toys. SUPER easy. Once she's finished with her toys, she'll scoot on to another area and undoubtedly get into something she's not supposed to have (her favorite no-no's include the dog dish, eating paper, tearing up the carpet, and opening the fire place).

One of her favorite things is music. She'll shake maracas, beat on drums, and pound on the piano. Her face lights up when she hears music, and she may even shake her little body in delight. :)

For the most part, she is a very joyful little girl. She knows her name. And smiles when anyone says it. :) For the past week, though, she's been working on cutting SEVERAL teeth at once, as well as fighting off a Roseola infection. Poor baby has not been feeling so well. I love the extra cuddles, but I hate that she's not been well.

She has started repeating a lot of sounds for us...including: Ma-ma, Da-da, Pa-pa, Nigh-nigh, and Bye-bye. She won't always perform on command, though. :) We are still breastfeeding and she's doing great with that. She is still a bit behind on food, as she still can't really tolerate grains very well. We're still doing baby foods (fruits and veggies). But the doctor said she's gaining weight just fine! Here are her stats:

weight: 19lb, 4oz (60th percentile)
length: 28in (65th percentile)
head circ: 17.75in (75th percentile)

She's a great sleeper, often sleeping through the night. And she takes two naps each day. She reminds me a lot of Isaac when he was her age. Many times, she'll sleep in past 9am in the morning!! LOVE that she loves her sleep!

I can hardly believe that here in the next few months we'll be planning her FIRST birthday party! Yikes!! Where does the time go?!? She is developing wonderfully and is such a joy to have in our family. She ADORES her older siblings and they love her too. It'll be fun to watch her grow into a toddler and try to keep up with them! :)
